To receive our best available rate at any time of year, we recommend booking directly with us over the phone or via email. We may require a 2-night minimum stay during the “peak season” of June-September, or during local special events, but we will occasionally make exceptions. Call us, and we’ll do our best to help and accommodate your travel schedules.
Four room rentals, extended stay as well as corporate or business travel rates and discounts are available. Please call us at 231-425-3521 to discuss arrangements and reserve your stay.
Shining Light Inn B&B is open year round.
Rates range from $75 to $115 per night, plus fees and taxes. Additional $20 charge if airbed is needed.
We are not set up to accommodate children under the age of 11 years of age. A two-night minimum stay may be required during peak periods (June-August, weekends, or holidays).
An advance deposit is required to confirm your reservation. We accept MasterCard, Visa, or Cash. Cancellations should be made one week prior to your confirmed stay to receive your deposit.
1-night stay - Full deposit taken at time of booking including Room + Taxes
2 or more nights - 50% deposit taken at time of booking including Room + Taxes
All four rooms rental - 50% deposit taken at time of booking including Room Rate + Taxes. Note that deposit is refundable only if cancellation is made 3 weeks prior to stay date.
Every reservation we receive is important and special to us. We take great care in preparing for your arrival… room preparation to creating a breakfast menu suited to your dietary needs. We sincerely appreciate each reservation we receive! We are committed to have your room ready and available upon your arrival.
While we understand that life isn't always predictable and that plans change, we do request that you contact us at least 7 (seven) days prior to your check-in date to let us know of your changes. At that time, your deposit will be refunded, less a 3% (three percent) credit card fee when applicable.
Any reservation updates and/or cancellations received less than 7 (seven) days prior to your check-in date will result in the loss of your deposit.
Reservations for four room bookings have a 21-day cancellation policy, and a 50% non-refundable deposit taken at the time you make your reservation.
Check-in – We look forward to greeting you between 4 and 6 p.m. on the day of your arrival.
Check-out – 10 a.m. on the date of departure
If you are unable to arrive during our standard check-in time, please be sure to contact us ahead of time so that we can make other arrangements. For those arriving in Ludington on the S.S. Badger Car Ferry, please let us know that when making the reservation. During the months of May through October, we will do our best to accommodate early check-in / late departures; however we may not always be able to do so.
Shining Light Inn B&B home, porches, decks, and gardens are smoke-free. Guests may use the wood fire pit area as the designated smoking area. A $250 cleaning fee will be assessed should a guest choose to smoke indoors.
We adore children and welcome children age 11 years and older. Well behaved children under the age of 11 are welcome in the event of a family booking all four rooms. Please contact us for additional information.
We are animal lovers… we have our own resident kitty cat. However, to ensure the comfort of all our guests, we are unable to accommodate guests' pets. We can suggest a great local boarding facility if you would like.
